A Rather Lovely Review from one of our Schools.....
Can I please just thank you and your team for the fantastic support you have, and continue to, give us in getting 3D Printing embedded into our Engineering Curriculum. It has transformed what the our students do and has contributed significantly to our fantastic GCSE Engineering examination results. In fact demand is so high that we are looking to purchase more printers and 3D Printworld will be our chosen supplier.
Thank you again.

The Formula 3D Print Challenge Event on the 11th July 2017
After the very successful Formula 3D Print Challenge Event held at St Pauls Catholic School in Milton Keynes, we are delighted to release the video taken during the day and edited to show
The short version
Catch the excitement of Digital Slot Car Racing and a taster of the quite superb entries to the Formula 3D Print competition…
In the words of Crocodile Dundee (our version): ‘that’s slot car racing? Nah, That’s Slot Car Racing!’
We call it: Motor Sport with very small cars…
The long version
View the new Challenges just entering development for both Fashion and Prosthetic limbs (Team Unlimbited from the Google video diary of the year 2015) as well as interviews with the Competitors.
See the various aspects of what it took to produce such stunning entries, judging of the Concours d’Elegance showcasing the engineering input achieved – and, of course, the by now famous final race - the ’24 minutes of Le Mans’….
With interviews featuring James Cleave, 4 times World Slot Car Racing Champion and James Graham, Senior Designer for RedBull Racing both of whom were part of the judging panel for the Concours d’Elegance, this film tells you all you need to know about the excitement – and the engagement - which comes from our 3D Print Challenges.Note the fact that both boys and girls (with no special encouragement) chose to take part in number…
Oh, and Danit Peleg, international 3D Print Fashion Designer and Designer (and Maker) of the dress seen worn by a Paralympian as she danced with a Robot in the Paralympic closing ceremony in Rio sends us a personal greeting to Milton Keynes!
Why this matters…
The simple truth is that a 3D Printer is only of lasting interest and engagement for someone who can use CAD to create and modify files.
Inkjet and Laser Printers became essential items as Word, Excel and Powerpoint powered the Personal Computer and the ability to use the software became ubiquitous. It’s the same now.
The number of 3D Printers is limited to the number of CAD Users – and CAD skills are essential to the new economy. To grow the market for 3D Printers, we need to train and inspire the new Users…
Schools are where we learn skills…
When we came into this world of 3D in Schools three years ago, the best Challenge out there was… an earbud holder to ‘organise your earphone wires’. Or… a USB stick cover.
‘Be still my beating heart’.
It’s not that there is anything wrong with these tasks, it’s just that aspiration starts with inspiration.
Every Challenge we develop is around a truly exciting and engaging outcome – that 3D Printing and CAD happen to be the tools with which to take part is by the way. That each Challenge connects emotion with workplace skills and future workplaces and jobs is by the by. We believe that it is essential to connect with the heart as well as the mind: taking part has to be worth it of itself.
We promise that we will never ever be boring…
We are booking now for Formula 3D Print in the Spring – and we are planning the nationwide rollout.
