Primary School 3D Printing Project
The Key Ring Challenge
The Key Ring Challenge (the initial project) is a fantastic and fun opportunity to introduce your students to the vital skill of CAD (Computer Aided Design) and 3D Printing without the expense of buying a kit that just gathers dust.
This is a term’s work that ties in beautifully with your KS2 Design and Technology and ICT Scheme of work.
Developed by 3D Print World and Broughton Junior School in Aylesbury, the project has proved a great hit with students and teachers alike and lasts for a term.
1st half term includes a lesson plan to teach the basics of CAD
2nd half term includes 3D Printing in the classroom (using a fully enclosed 3D Printer.).
At the end of the project each student will have designed and printed an original and personalised keyring that they can take home and amaze their parents with.
